This fountain pen features a resin barrel, gold plated accents and a 14K solid gold nib. The Custom 742 carries the second largest of the Pilot 14k gold nibs in the size 10. This version of the pen has the legendary Pilot Falcon nib. A soft nib with cut-out wings one each side it is soft and flexible which gives your writing expression. Not exactly a vintage flex nib however this modern version is well appreciated.
