This 1967 novel tells the multi-generational story of the Buendia family, whose patriarch, Jose Arcadio Buendia, founded the fictitious town of Macondo. The story blends magical realism with real-life struggles, exploring themes of love, isolation, fate, and history’s cyclical nature.
