Kaweco Collection Liliput Fountain Pen - Kolibri
A really practical pen, this Liliput may be small in size but is a giant in the pen world!
Just like its namesake, the hummingbird, our new Liliput Kolibri glides smoothly onto the paper. It's one of our smallest writing instruments. Concerning its colour, the stainless-steel body is equally as striking as the mesmerisingly shining plumage of different hummingbird species. They get their colourful appearance due to the surface structure of their feathers, known as the phenomenon of interference, where light is reflected. Reminiscent of this play of colour, our Kaweco Collection Liliput Kolibri gets its metallic shine thanks to the PVD-plating, a process resulting in various unique colour combinations, making each pen one of a kind.
A whole new spectrum of nibs
The exotic fountain pen is completed by a colourful nib that is temperature-treated with a laser to achieve its rainbow shimmer. You can choose between various nib sizes. If you’re not sure which size you want or need, we recommend the nib size M.
Perfect for stocking up on the sweet nectar that is our Kaweco ink. For the ultimate summer feeling, the pen is delivered with a Kaweco ink cartridge in the colour Summer Purple as standard.
Care Instruction: When the pen is not in use, the nib should be free of any ink residue. Otherwise, drying ink might discolour the nib.
The Kaweco Liliput is a tiny fountain pen that when posted transforms into a full-sized pen that easily fits in your hand. It comes with a stainless steel nib and an ink cartridge to get you started writing right away! The cap screws on to the back to post securely, and it accepts short standard international cartridges. The pen comes with a kaweco classic tin box.
*Kaweco Collection items are available in the Kaweco range limited in time.
Please note: Kaweco cartridge/converter fountain pens include an ink cartridge stored inside the pen from the factory. Make sure to remove it before installing your own cartridge or converter.
Liliput
It was in 1910 that KAWECO first produced a Liliput fountain pen of ebonite. The remake of this series is now made of stainless steel as a fountain pen with a steel nib. Only 97mm long when closed, the Liliput is one of the smallest fountain pens that will accept standard ink cartridges. To make the distinctive and unique Fire Blue pattern, Kaweco have taken a steel liliput and subject it to intense and localised heat. When the pen cools, these patterns are revealed. Each pen has totally different patterns in blues, reds, yellows and browns. No two pens will be the same.
