Please note: The MP1 fountain pen is not designed to be disassembled for cleaning or maintenance, and Monteverde strongly advises against attempting to do so. When maintaining or refilling the pen, avoid pushing the piston past the designated line and lugs inside the barrel. Doing so may cause damage to the pen or ink to seep behind the piston.
Important: Do not attempt to unscrew the MP1 front section. The grip section and transparent barrel are designed as one continuous assembly. Follow the official filling and cleaning instructions shown on Monteverde website.
How to Fill the Monteverde MP1
Submerge the nib and feed fully into bottled fountain pen ink. Unlock and operate the piston mechanism to draw ink into the built-in reservoir. Wipe the nib and grip section clean before writing. Do not attempt to remove the front section.
How to Clean the Monteverde MP1
Flush the pen with clean, cool water until the water runs clear. Repeat the filling and emptying process as needed, then allow the pen to dry before refilling. Use only cleaning methods recommended for fountain pens.
