TWSBI Precision Fountain Pen - Gun Metal Grey, 1.1mm Stub Nib
Pairing TWSBI's hallmark value with a stylish and modern design, the Precision is equally at home in the classroom and the boardroom. Its eye-catching hexagonal body keeps it from rolling away, while its angled clip and brushed aluminum finish give it an edgy, industrial look. Its high-capacity piston filling mechanism is easily operated by twisting the knob at the end of the barrel counter-clockwise to extend the piston, submerging the nib in ink, then screwing the knob tight to retract the piston, drawing ink into the pen straight from the bottle. There's no need for cartridges or a converter! Be carefuloperating the piston while ink is in the pen will cause ink to leak out of the pen.
Other features include a transparent ink window in the grip section and two o-rings on the piston knob for posting the cap securely.
In keeping with their philosophy of promoting the traditional experience of using a fountain pen, TWSBI has designed this pen to be completely self-serviceable. It comes with a wrench and a vial of silicone grease you can use for at-home maintenance.
Note: This pen only uses bottled ink, which is not included with this pen. Check out our collection of bottled fountain pen inks here!
This pen may come with ink residue in the nib from being dip tested by TWSBI at the factory. As with all new fountain pens, we recommend giving your TWSBI a good cleaning before you use it.
Inspired by writing
After 50 plus years as an OEM manufacturer for different global brands, Ta Shin Precision decided to start selling under their own brand, and thus TWSBI was born.
TaShin Precision has over 50 years of experience in manufacturing with plastics and metals. Early products ranged from toy lego parts to high end writing instruments. This knowledge trickles down into every product TWSBI has to offer.
TWSBI's name stands for the phrase "Hall of Three Cultures" or "San Wen Tong" in Chinese. The character "Wen" translates into language and culture. The phrase "San Wen Tong" also brings to mind the Hall of the Three Rare Treasures created by Emperor Qianlong as a memorial to three great masterpieces of Chinese calligraphy. The initials of the phrase "San Wen Tong" was reversed and thus turned into "TWS". The last letters "Bi" was added with its literal meaning of "writing instruments". Thus combining the two segments, creating TWSBI.
